Baseball Recap: Hoggard Vikings vs. Grimsley Whirlies
Hoggard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grimsley Whirlies. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Hoggard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Bush, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Bush is becoming a predictor of the Vikings' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 3-12 when he doesn't). Jonah Harker was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
