Softball Recap: Triton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Triton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 11-10 on Monday. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 losses in a row.

Jillian Bules made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Gonzales, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Triton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they will challenge Argos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
