Dunlap is 9-1 against Pekin since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Dragons at 4:15 p.m. Dunlap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Dunlap got the win against Madison West by a conclusive 13-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Isaac Babbs looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dunlap got a massive performance out of Christian Ferrari, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Ferrari a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Michanicou, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Dunlap was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pekin didn't have quite enough to beat Peoria Notre Dame on Thursday and fell 3-2.
Garrett Frampton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Brady Bolen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Dunlap's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Pekin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Pekin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dunlap hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Pekin, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Dunlap's hitters?
