Basketball Game Preview: Hoehne Farmers vs. Swink Lions

Hoehne and Swink are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Hoehne Farmers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Swink Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hoehne took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over Center.

Meanwhile, Swink had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Walsenburg 61-16. The game marked the Lions' most dominant win of the season.

Hoehne's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Swink, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-8.

Hoehne couldn't quite finish off Swink when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 52-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Swink's Nate Cabrera, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 21 points.
