Softball Recap: Kapa'a Wins Going Away Against Kauai

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Kapa'a and Kauai, and Kapa'a kept the tradition alive. The Kapa'a Warriors were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Kauai Red Raiders on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won eight in a row.

Anabel Capistran-Nakagoshi looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Nahe Marshall was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Souza, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Kapa'a now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kauai, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Kapa'a and Kauai will both be playing Waimea the next time they take the field. Kauai will host Waimea at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Kapa'a will host them at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th.
