Softball Recap: Emerald Takes a Loss

Wren hit Emerald with a 11-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Emerald and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for Wren, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Emerald is set to square off against their familiar foe Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wren will take on rival Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
