Basketball Game Preview: Pinnacle Panthers vs. Monument Valley Cougars

Pinnacle hasn't had much luck against Monument Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pinnacle Panthers take on the Monument Valley Cougars at 5:30 p.m.

Pinnacle is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-29 heartbreaker at the hands of Logan.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Monument Valley beat Many Farms 46-41 on Thursday.

Monument Valley's win came from a few key players Pinnacle will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dakotah Cly, who posted 16 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaya Blackmountain, who had 14 points.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Monument Valley, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
