After losing to Salinas the last time they met, Soledad decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Soledad Aztecs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Salinas Cowboys on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aztecs.

Juan Esparza was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Soledad's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Salinas, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Soledad will have a chance to go back-to-back against Salinas: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
