Softball Recap: Montrose Takes a Loss

If Montrose was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Blue Ridge on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Meteors lost 11-1 to the Elk Lake Warriors on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Meteors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Montrose saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cara Evans, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Montrose moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Elk Lake, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
