Preview: West Lowndes Panthers vs. Noxapater Tigers
West Lowndes is 9-1 against Noxapater since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The West Lowndes Panthers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Noxapater Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, West Lowndes was the victim of a rough 61-39 defeat at the hands of Nanih Waiya. While losing is never fun, West Lowndes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Nanih Waiya is ranked 68th).
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Noxapater, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to East Webster last Tuesday. Noxapater has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Lowndes bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.0 points per game. As for Noxapater, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
