Softball Game Preview: Franklin Warriors vs. Colonia Patriots

The Franklin Warriors will head out to face off against the Colonia Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Franklin came up short against Elizabeth and fell 16-12.

Vicky Gabryszewski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Mia Sanchez-Balzac was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs.

Meanwhile, Colonia came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Perth Amboy on Wednesday. Considering the Patriots have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Colonia, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
