Basketball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland lost against Southlake Carroll back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Royals took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons.

Despite the loss, Richland still got an impressive performance from Kole Dortch, who shot 57% from the field en route to 22 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Friend, who posted 11 points.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southlake Carroll, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Richland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-50 victory against Azle on the 20th. As for Southlake Carroll, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-65 loss against Fort Bend Hightower on the 20th.
