Football Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

Eunice suffered their biggest defeat since November 1, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Iowa Yellowjackets 51-22. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 37th).

J'Vien Adams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 191 yards and three TDs on only nine carries for Iowa. Those 191 rushing yards gave Adams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawston Broussard, who threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes.

Eunice's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Iowa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eunice will welcome Leesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Iowa, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against LaGrange at 7:00 p.m. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
