Volleyball Recap: Purchase Line Comes Up Short

Purchase Line lost against West Branch back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Dragons came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Red Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.

Emilee Buterbaugh paced Purchase Line's offense, picking up nine kills. Buterbaugh got some help from Bella Cessna and her 19 assists. Alorra Phillips controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Brielle Bainey was nothing short of spectacular for West Branch: she had 20 digs and five assists. That's the most digs Bainey has posted over her last 14 matches.

Purchase Line's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for West Branch, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 21-1-2.

Purchase Line has already played their next contest (against Conemaugh Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Branch, they will take on Juniata Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
