Basketball Recap: Springwood Skates Past Trinity Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springwood). They really took it to the Trinity Christian Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-12 win. With the Wildcats ahead 62-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Springwood was led to victory by Tori Patillo and Vega Monsalve. Patillo posted 30 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Monsalve put up 15 points along with eight steals and five boards. Patillo's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Hill, who had 15 points and three steals.

Springwood pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Trinity Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
