Basketball Game Preview: Broken Bow Indians vs. Hershey Panthers

The Broken Bow Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Hershey Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Broken Bow and eight for Hershey dating back to last season.

Broken Bow saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell to Adams Central 49-45.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Braxtton Johnson, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Jackson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Hershey was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-42 to Red Cloud.

Hershey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Broken Bow, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Broken Bow might still be hurting after the 62-41 defeat they got from Hershey in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Broken Bow avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
