It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Morgan Park had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They didn't even let the North Grand Eagle Owls on the board, marking their second-straight 26-0 shutout. Considering the Mustangs have won eight matches by more than 22 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Morgan Park, bringing their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for North Grand, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morgan Park will challenge rival Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mustangs 10.7, the Bulls 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Grand is set to take on their familiar foe Rickover Naval at 4:30 p.m. on October 3.
