Softball Recap: Casey County Takes a Loss

Casey County fell victim to Rockcastle County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 1-0. The Rebels have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Harmony Meece/Richardson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Casey County's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Rockcastle County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

While Casey County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
