Softball Recap: Holy Family Tigers vs. Conifer Lobos
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holy Family had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Conifer Lobos. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Makaila Moosbrugger, who went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Giuliana Magnetti, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Holy Family was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. The last time their batting average was this high was back in September.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Holy Family, bringing their record for this year to 21-6. As for Conifer, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-7.
