The Strongsville Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the McKinley Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Strongsville was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Avon, sneaking past 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Addison Heidenhoffer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinley). Everything went their way against Garfield on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Hailey Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Smith was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off six RBI, four runs, and two triples while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, McKinley got a massive performance out of Violet Hanlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Hanlin has posted since back in April. Kylee Delgado was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
McKinley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
McKinley's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-17. As for Strongsville, their record is now 8-13.
