Volleyball Recap: Two Rivers' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Two Rivers's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Reedsville Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Purple Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Two Rivers took Reedsville into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 15-11.

Natalie Weier was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last five matches.

Loss or not, Reedsville got some senior leadership from Kayla Peterson and Josee Busse. Peterson had 11 digs and four aces, while Busse had five digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklin Taddy, who had ten digs.

Two Rivers' victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Reedsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season.

Two Rivers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Marinette on the 21st. As for Reedsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Hilbert on the 21st.
