Baseball Game Preview: Morningside Monarchs vs. Beverly Hills Normans

For the second straight game, Morningside will face off against Beverly Hills. The Monarchs will take on the Normans at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Morningside has now lost 16 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 26.

Morningside lost 16-3 to Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

For Beverly Hills' part, Tova Bodner made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Bodner a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Race Findley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Beverly Hills: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Morningside's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Beverly Hills, their record is now 6-10-1.
