Soccer Recap: Andress' Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Andress can now relate to. They fell 4-2 to the Monterey Plainsmen on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Andress can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Monterey are ranked 180th).

Mileena Griego wasn't going to let Monterey walk away unscathed as she scored both of Andress' goals, bringing her season total up to 38 goals.

Andress' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10. As for Monterey, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4-3.

Andress does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monterey, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Grapevine at 3:00 p.m.
