After losing to Holdrege the last time they met, Gothenburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Swedes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dusters 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Swedes have posted against the Dusters since October 3, 2020.

Gothenburg got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-27, 30-28, 23-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Halsey Thomalla paced Gothenburg's offense, picking up 22 kills. Thomalla got some help from Peyton Hilbers and her 35 assists. Ellaray Koch controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gothenburg is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Holdrege, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

Gothenburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holdrege, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Minden on the 16th.
