Volleyball Game Preview: Cheraw Wolverines vs. Wiley Panthers + How To Watch

The Cheraw Wolverines will square off against the Wiley Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Cheraw beat Eads 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Cheraw had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 25-16, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Wiley got the win against Kim/Branson on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Wiley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Kim/Branson between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-19.

Wiley's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Cheraw, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Cheraw took their victory against Wiley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
