Lake Forest got themselves on the board against Waukegan on Tuesday, but Waukegan never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Scouts have won by exactly eight runs.

Callum Morrison tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Charlie Graham and Bink Hartline did most of the damage at the plate: Graham went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Hartline went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits Hartline has posted since back in April of 2024. Charlie Quick also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Lake Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lake Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Waukegan, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.
