Baseball Recap: La Veta Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact La Veta can now relate to. They fell just short of the Simla Cubs by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matthew Gonzales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Lukas Ozzello was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

La Veta's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Simla, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

As of now, neither La Veta nor the Cubs have any future games scheduled.
