Mason had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-53 victory over the Howell Highlanders. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Highlanders are ranked 87th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mason pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Howell, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

Mason will be playing in front of their home fans against Fowlerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Howell, they will take on Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
