Baseball Recap: Hamden Hall Country Day Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hamden Hall Country Day had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the St. Paul's Big Red.

On the hitting side, Amato Civitello was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Hamden Hall Country Day's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Billy Cole, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Hamden Hall Country Day is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.
