League recap: Nipmuc Regional win leads to rise in state rank

Nipmuc Regional moved up to 108 from 174 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Freelance. The Warriors were able to make the jump by beating Hudson 43-6.

Dedham was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. The Marauders vanquished Medford 28-7 earlier in the week.

Dedham's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Marauders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Wynn has thrown for 89 yards this season, while Raheem Powell has three catches for 62 yards. Trey Williams leads the league in rushing with 200 yards.

A big matchup in Freelance this week will be when St. Bernard's Central Catholic takes on Nipmuc Regional. The Saints are in sixth place, while Phil Shiloski's team is in third place.

The Warriors took down the Hawks 43-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
