Softball Recap: Buena Comes Up Short

Buena lost against Cienega two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Buena came up short against Cienega, falling 19-8. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amaya Serrano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Yanissa Long was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Buena's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Cienega, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Cienega will square off against Canyon del Oro at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buena will be paying especially close attention to Cienega's game: after Cienega faces off against Canyon del Oro, they'll take on Buena again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
