Baseball Recap: Sodus Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Sodus waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Williamson Marauders 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since April 28th.

Cooper Ingersoll was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Orrange-Paton, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Sodus' win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Williamson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

As of now, neither Sodus nor the Marauders have any future games scheduled.
