            Baseball Preview: West Mifflin Titans vs. North Penn Knights        
        
		
        
        
            The West Mifflin Titans will face off against the North Penn Knights at 7:00  p.m.  on Sunday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Saturday, West Mifflin was able to grind out a solid  victory over Charlotte Country Day School, taking the game  9-6. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Titans.
 Jackson Fite tossed a big game,   pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   five  hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
 At the plate,  Chase Maggio was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March of 2024.  Caden Wills was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, North Penn had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mt. Pleasant  a   24-0 shutout  on Saturday.
 Trevor Lugara looked comfortable as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Christian Barnes, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kevin Brace, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
