Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Comes Up Short

Coahulla Creek was the 2-1 winner over Sonoraville when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell 2-0 to the Phoenix on Saturday.

Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Norton really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. Mallory Priest controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Coahulla Creek now has a losing record of 21-22. As for Sonoraville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-17 record this season.

Sonoraville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ringgold on the 11th. Hopefully Coahulla Creek paid attention to the Phoenix's matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
