Baseball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Comes Up Short

San Lorenzo Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 4-3. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

San Lorenzo Valley got a good showing from Marlon Braun, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Braun has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jaden Shabry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

San Lorenzo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, San Lorenzo Valley will square off against Aptos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they will take on Menlo-Atherton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
