Baseball Recap: Brookwood Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tuscaloosa Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookwood). They never let the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since April 5, 2024.

The result came thanks to Davis Torri's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Green, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Markeil Williams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Brookwood's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookwood will take on Sipsey Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will host Aliceville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
