Pine Grove and Notre Dame-Green Pond squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pine Grove had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Quinn Brommer was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Brommer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Brommer wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hatter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Pine Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Pine Grove nor Notre Dame-Green Pond have any future games scheduled.
