Baseball Recap: South Garner Comes Up Short

South Garner managed to slip by Garner the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The South Garner Titans came up short against the Garner Trojans on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The loss leaves the Titans still looking for their first win of the season.

South Garner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Rogers, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Rogers also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Sawyer Long was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

South Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Garner, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While South Garner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
