Basketball Game Preview: Iowa Colony Pioneers vs. Friendswood Mustangs

The Iowa Colony Pioneers will head out on the road to face off against the Friendswood Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Iowa Colony is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering La Porte just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 32-30.

Meanwhile, Friendswood entered their tilt with Angleton on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-24 win over the Wildcats.

Friendswood's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-11. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points per game. As for Iowa Colony, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-12.

Iowa Colony was able to grind out a solid win over Friendswood when the teams last played back in January, winning 52-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Iowa Colony since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
