Baseball Recap: Hamilton Southeastern Comes Up Short at Home Against Columbus North

Hamilton Southeastern unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Columbus North Bull Dogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Bull Dogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

Hamilton Southeastern got a good showing from Dylan Cope, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Hamilton Southeastern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddux Bach, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hamilton Southeastern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Lawrence County on the 4th. As for Columbus North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-5 defeat against Roncalli on the 7th.
