Sage Hill has gone a perfect 3-0 against Chadwick recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lightning will look to defend their home field against the Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Sage Hill earned a 6-3 win over Polytechnic.
Evan Stroner made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Stroner was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Miles Tarman looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Tristan Rubalcaba, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Justin Glasser was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
Sage Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2025.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Chadwick and Rolling Hills Prep, and Chadwick kept the tradition alive. The Dolphins put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 22-9 victory on Saturday. The Dolphins haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Chadwick's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sage Hill, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
Sage Hill got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Chadwick by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Lightning have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dolphins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
