Softball Recap: Lincoln Falls Short of Lancaster in the Playoffs

Lincoln and Lancaster squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lincoln had to settle for second. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Gales. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Adrionna Dunton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

The loss snapped Lincoln's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-12 record. As for Lancaster, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-2.

Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lancaster, they will square off against Lebanon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
