Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit West Takes a Loss

Lee's Summit West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lee's Summit North Broncos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Titans came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Broncos are ranked 128th).

Lee's Summit West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lee's Summit North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Lee's Summit West will welcome Lee's Summit at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lee's Summit North, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blue Springs South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lee's Summit North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
