Basketball Recap: Jocelyn Umiker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wright over Big Horn

Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 70-51 fall against the Big Horn Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-43 back in January.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Umiker, who went 7-for-15 on her way to 15 points and six rebounds. Briana Meza was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Big Horn, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Wright wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-18 win against Moorcroft on the 22nd. Big Horn has also already played their next game (against Greybull), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
