Basketball Recap: Hitchcock-Tulare Comes Up Short

Hitchcock-Tulare was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wessington Springs Spartans. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 49-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Hitchcock-Tulare lost, don't look at Katelyn Schroeder. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Isabel Gilbert was another key player, putting up three points along with 11 assists and five boards.
