Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Extends Winning Streak to Five

Tri-Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Monticello, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vikings blew past the Sages 13-7 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Tri-Valley got a massive performance out of Elle Fesler, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Fesler is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Zoey Whittaker was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Tri-Valley's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0-1. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.3 runs thus far. As for Monticello, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will host Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monticello, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Oakwood at 4:30 p.m.
