Volleyball Recap: Christopher Find Success + How To Watch

Christopher took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Leland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars skirted past the Chargers 3-2.

Christopher was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (110-102), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 29-27, 11-25, 15-12.

Juliet Tassio was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last five matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Christopher was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matchups.

Despite the defeat, Leland saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kayla Krisman had 18 digs and two assists. Emily Rex also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Christopher's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Leland, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 19-6.

Christopher has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Westmont on the 16th. As for Leland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Silver Creek on the 16th.
