East Wake Academy won the last time they faced American Leadership Academy-Johnston and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Patriots 3-0.

While East Wake Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 26-24.

The victory got East Wake Academy back to even at 1-1. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, East Wake Academy will square off against Voyager Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will challenge South Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
