Basketball Game Preview: DeKalb Barons vs. Garrett Railroaders

The DeKalb Barons will face off against the Garrett Railroaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If DeKalb beats Garrett with 57 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Barons came out on top against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers by a score of 57-47 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Barons.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garrett). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Fort Wayne North Side 72-32. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-13.

DeKalb's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Garrett, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

DeKalb was able to grind out a solid win over Garrett in their previous matchup back in February, winning 43-32. Do the Barons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Railroaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
