Volleyball Recap: Angelika Krob Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win + How To Watch

Downers Grove North won the last time they faced Glenbard West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hilltoppers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted against the Hilltoppers since March 23, 2021.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Downers Grove North who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 25-13.

Downers Grove North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angelika Krob, who had 13 digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Krob a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Mastalarz, who had 12 assists and five digs.

Downers Grove North is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Glenbard West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downers Grove North will head out to face off against Addison Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenbard West, they will challenge Benet Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
